GUIDELINES FOR USE

Application:
Soilax® P can be used in conjunction with bentonite solutions to improve borehole stability. The solution may be used in borehole applications or with Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs).

Dosage:
A bentonite solution is prepared at 5-7% bentonite. Soilax® P is dosed into the bentonite solution at 3% of dry bentonite by weight.

Required Equipment:
To prevent mixing of non-approved additives, it is recommended to use a dedicated transfer and/or dosing pump for Soilax® P. If a single pump is used for more than one product, the pump should be thoroughly cleaned with water before switching to Soilax® P.

STORAGE AND HANDLING

Temperature and Shelf Life:
Soilax® P should be stored between 40°F and 105°F (5°C and 40°C). Do not allow product to freeze. If stored in the original tightly closed containers, Soilax® P will have a shelf life of 12 months.

Safety:
Standard precautions for handling chemical products should be observed. Avoid eye and skin contact; wear protective gloves and safety goggles. If contact occurs, rinse cautiously with water. In case of eye contact, seek medical advice. For further information refer to the Safety Data Sheet.

PACKAGING
Soilax® P is available in totes and drums.

Buyer assumes all risks of whatever nature associated with the use of the Products and shall indemnify and hold harmless BORAID® from all costs of whatever nature arising from or related to the use of the Products. To the extent BORAID® personnel or technicians provide advice and consultation to Buyer, it shall be for information only, shall not alter either party’s obligations hereunder in any way whatsoever, and shall not operate to create any liability on behalf of BORAID®.
