Starting in 1996, Boraid has been developing ground‑conditioning products for TBM crews. We began with a simple goal: give contractors a dependable, domestic source for soil conditioners at a time when most products had to be imported. Overseas shipments created delays, customs issues, and unnecessary risk for tunneling projects that needed reliable schedules. By sourcing raw materials locally and producing everything in the United States, we built a supply chain that crews could count on—one designed around real jobsite needs, not international logistics.

Our first products were used on major tunneling projects across California, where they proved their value in demanding ground conditions. Those early successes pushed us to keep improving our blends and developing new solutions. Over the years, we’ve created conditioners for clay‑heavy soils, refined techniques for automatic conditioning, and engineered specialized products capable of handling unique challenges like the tar sands beneath Los Angeles. Every advancement has come from the same place: listening to TBM crews and solving the problems they face underground.
